As we enter our 5th year as a Main Street Community, we rejoice in project and event successes focused on preserving and highlighting the history of our Town, education resident and visitors of our heritage through festivals, and supporting merchants and service clubs in their efforts to provide all that makes Dandridge the unique and special community that so many of us call "our hometown".

We are inviting the entire community to become a member of Main Street Dandridge. Your help will turn vision into action. We have highlighted below a few of our recent activities and future initiatives for downtown Dandridge.

History and Heritage-highlighting Historic Buildings; Historic Dike Marker; continuing partnership with Chamber on Civil War & White Lightning Trails program; support toward completion of Dandridge Garden Club Graveyard Wall Project; actively engaging local banks on Façade Appearance Loan Program; provide ongoing research through Genealogical Society; host events like Scots-Irish Festival to promote and educate on our rich heritage.

Streetscape and “Green” Improvements - continue awning program for current and future business owners; rain barrel project to utilize low cost “green technology” for Graveyard gardens; to make planning for Town streetscapes a public process and with the assistance of East TN Community Design Center provide a guiding document to downtown improvements.

Shop, Dine, Play - promote Dandridge to visitors and investors-“Shop, Dine, Play Stay”-Destination experience through continued partnerships with Chamber and DMPA; actively recruit retailers and restaurants; resource to loan access programs; retail seminars for continuing education support to merchants; grow Farmers Market-link of community support to modern day agricultural heritage.
