cheer for your favorite participant at the 1st Annual Douglas Dash.
The Douglas Dash one-mile competitive race, raising funds to
benefit:
Boys & Girls Club of Dumplin Valley, which is dedicated to
promoting the educational, vocational and character development of
youth in a safe, caring environment. They are a 501(c)(4)
non-profit.
Dandridge
Community Trust, a
Tennessee Main Street organization, which
focuses on historic preservation and economic development.
They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Course Description:This is
a one mile competitive race with beautiful views of Douglas Lake,
English Mountain, and historic downtown Dandridge. The race starts
at Maury Middle School, continues into the Dandridge downtown
Historic District and ends on ””The Dike”, which was built by TVA in
1943 to save the Town of Dandridge from flooding when Douglas Lake
was created.

Awards: Cash Awards given to top
male and female. Additional awards given to top 3 finishers overall
in each age/gender division.
