Individual Piping Rules:
1. All events
shall be conducted in accordance with the rules
and
regulations of the Eastern United States Pipe Band
Association (EUSPBA).
2.
Competitions will start promptly at 8:30 a.m.
3. Although
field entries are discouraged, it will be at the
discretion of
the piping committee if field entries can be accepted and
that such
late entries will not disrupt the competition schedule.
4. The order
of play will be first to enter, last to play determined by
postmark.
5.
Competitors must be ready when called or be disqualified.
6. Decisions
by the Directors, Stewards, Monitors, and Judges will be final.
Protests must be submitted in writing before the final awards
ceremony. DSIF reserves
the right to remove or combine events when not in
conflict with EUSPBA rules.
7.
Competitors must be in appropriate Highland attire to compete
(except
Practice Chanter) and to receive awards.
8. No medals
will be worn during competition.
9.
No entry
passes or
parking passes are
necessary.
10. First,
second and third place medals will be awarded in the amateur
solo grades.
A trophy will be awarded for Piper of the Day in each grade. Trophies
and medals will
be awarded on Saturday at the last massed band.
I hereby acknowledge that the Dandridge
Scots-Irish Festival, its
representatives and officials, the City of
Dandridge and the property owners on whose property the Festival is
conducted, will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage
which may be incurred by me or to my property during the course of the
Dandridge Scots-Irish Festival.
*DSIF
reserves the right to limit entries in any event based on
available time to complete the event. Any competitor that is
disallowed shall be notified no later than 3 weeks before the
event or at the earliest opportunity.
