The Historic Town of Dandridge invites you to enjoy our
delightful mix of old and new. Designated a Main Street Community by
the state of Tennessee in September 2006, Dandridge offers shopping
and dining as you stroll streets that are rich with history.

Dandridge Community Trust, the official title of
the Main Street Program in Dandridge, plays a key role in the
activities and revitalization projects in the historic district and
all of 37725. We encourage you to check out our website for
more information about the projects and programs we organize and
support... and of course we encourage you to visit the Town of
Dandridge, named a 2011 Distinctive Destination by the National
Trust for Historic Preservation.
Dandridge savors the blessings
of 2011...
2011 was indeed a Year to celebrate the many exciting activities and
successes for the Town of Dandridge. Early in the year
representatives from the National Trust for Historic Preservation
visited our Town to announce Dandridge as the recipient of the Dozen
Distinctive Destinations Award.

Though we didn't win the Fan Favorite of the Dozen, we celebrate
such recognition with a
Community Street Party.
 
DMPA, Main Street and the Town of Dandridge celebrated the 100th
Anniversary of Tinsley-Bible Drug Store at the Annual Cruisin' &
Groovin' Car Show.

After hosting the Public Input Meeting, East TN Community Design
Center presents the new Streetscape Design Project
for downtown Dandridge.
 
The Farmers Market Grand Opening celebrated the 4th
year of bringing local, fresh produces to residents and visitors.

Dandridge was named one of "16 Friendliest Towns"

Scots-Irish Festival celebrated 5th year with
largest turnout and headline band "Coyote Run" entertaining crowds.

Dandridge helped commemorate Civil War Sesquicentennial at
Annual Heritage Dinner, featuring re-enactors, period
entertainment, and excellent cuisine.

WBIR features Dandridge as part of the Small Business
Saturday during Christmas shopping season. Click on

Christmas in Dandridge hosted Tree-lightings,
carolers, carriage rides, Business after Hours, and the best
Christmas parade ever!!

Streetscape Follow-Up Meeting:
Public Presentation of Input Results
Main Street hosted a follow-up meeting on Thursday, May 19th to
present the Streetscape Design results based on the public input
meeting hosted in January. Members on the community came out
to be the first to view the exciting new Streetscape, designed by
East Tennessee Community Design Center (ETCDC), for the historic
district of downtown Dandridge.
ETCDC will be providing planning Phase recommendations and cost
estimates in the near future. Main Street plans to work in
cooperation with the Town of Dandridge and Jefferson County to
pursue public funding to begin implementation of the Streetscape
Project.
